Updates from Jersey
Well, I have to write a blogpost to all the parents, students and leaders here in Jersey. And of course I’ll do it! We are having a blast here and we have all met nice people -locals, leaders and friends!
Yesterday morning, all the students went to the beach near St Peter which is one of the twelve parishes in Jersey. Having sunbathed for a while we went out with the bananaboats and some of us also tried jetskiing. It was so much fun! Me, Ellen, Lovisa, Vera and Stephanie was the first five to jump on the slippery banana. We all had to wear life-jackets and helmets and then the ride started. It was both scary and fun at the same time and we fell off twice, except for Stephanie who fell of thrice haha! So much fun! I will probably never forget her facial expression when I looked back and she was in the air for two seconds before splashing into the water.
All of the students went on the bananboat and we all liked it really much, I suppose.
My two roommates Diane and Elina both went jetskiing as well. They are sitting right next to me now and I’m sort of interviewing them about how the experience was.
Diane: ” I jetskied with two of my classmates, Elin and Lovisa, and all of was in controlled the jetski once. The ride lasted for half and hour. It was so much fun and the funniest thing I have done here. I really recommend you to do it if you haven’t already done it. You will not regret. ”
Elina: ” In the beginning it was hard to control the jetski but it became easier when we accelerated. Unfortunately we were forced to ski in a triangle and we couldn’t decide where we wanted to ski. I jetskied with a friend of mine, Louise, and we drove three rounds each. It was very funny when the jetski jumped on the waves.”
This is where my hostfamily lives!
